Reality Bites Festival ~ Poetry Event 24 October

RBlogoz1Australia’s best annual creative nonfiction festival kicks off on the 23rd of October. Now in its seventh year and based in the township of Cooroy “the festival brings Australia’s best minds and writers of literary nonfiction to the Noosa Hinterland. Presented by the Sunshine Hinterland Writers’ Centre, the festival is hand-crafted by a dedicated group of writers, readers and lovers of books and ideas.”

Our Editor has been invited to read some poems on friday night the 24th as a guest of the festival.

Book Launch: Australian Love Stories & Elegies of Resistance + Speakeasy of Love Poetry Reading

FRI 24, 6 – 8pm

Join us for a drink and the launch of two new works by independent publishers. Ashley Hayauthor of The Railway Man’s Wife, and contributor Tony Birch will launch Inkerman & Blunt’s new anthology Australian Love Stories, and editor Geoffrey Datson will launch Christopher Barnett’s elegies/of resistance. Then stay for our ‘Speakeasy’ poetry reading convened by Ashley Hay and featuring Mandy Sayer, Brentley Frazer, Geoffrey Datson, Robin ArchboldGabriella Salmon, Magnus O’Pus and Hamish Danks Brown.
